MoonBeam Light Technical
Specifications
-
MoonBeam
Light units have a maximum Luminous Intensity of 144 cd or 144,000 mcd.
This is the equivalent to a 40 watt Incandescent bulb. The MoonBeam
Light easily replaces and enhances the overhead incandescent bulb common to
most campers and RVs.
-
The light provided is not intense and overpowering. It is more
focused, softer and more conducive to the Camping Experience.
You will retain your night vision when using these lights.
-
Our
LEDs are driven at 20 milliamps and never overdriven. This will ensure the
extended lifetime of the LED.
-
We
buy our ultra-bright LEDs from very reliable sources that guarantee the
high-output and long life of our systems.
-
MoonBeam
Light units have extremely low power consumption.
-
Ø
A MoonBeam Unit with all LED modules ON consumes only 150 milliamps at 12 VDC.
( 0.150 Amps)
-
Ø
Compare this to the standard camper overhead incandescent bulb draws 1,500
milliamps. I.E. The MoonBeam Light requires less than one-tenth the power
required by one incandescent light.
-
Each
MoonBeam LED Module has a 45 deg. Beam and produces approximately 36,000 mcd
(depending on the color chosen)
-
Power
Inputs and Outputs are protected from overload with a self-resetting
device. Reverse Polarity Protection and noise suppression are also
included.
For
Reference:
-
The
normal voltage from a Camper / RV Power Supply is 13.5 Volts DC.
-
The
normal voltage from a fully charged 12-volt battery is 12.5 Volts DC.
-
MoonBeam Lights are designed for 8.0 to 14.0 Volts DC
